Five Virgin Saints

The ephemeral quality of performance art reflects the mortality of human life. Through using a live action to represent the lives of five female virgin saints, I attempted pay homage to these holy women. The remnants left from the live performances turned into relics, minimally depicting the saint that was portrayed. Throughout the entirety of the show, I revisited each piece and again performed the actions associated with each saint. This became a personal pilgrimage in an attempt to grow closer to the holy women.
